Summary
Creating suitable living spaces for our equine friends.
We all dream of having the space to let our horses run wild over endless fields. Well maybe not always, considering the time it would take to find them. But you get my drift.
Living in a herd allow horses to well be a horse. Just because we can’t provide them that same luxury, it doesn’t mean that we can’t try to at least bring their living environment as close to as nature intended as possible.
We will look at how to do this when our horses are stabled, or living in paddocks.
But it isn’t just about space. How can we create interaction between horses to satisfy their need for socialising, and why should we?
A suitable boredom free environment to move around with some equine interaction goes a long way in reducing stress related behaviours, resulting in a cooperative equine partner.
Let’s create happy horse environments, the ‘how to’ is just around the corner.
